Our Products

We like stuff that works. We try everything, and we’re hard on things to make sure you can be. So what are our standards? It has to be earth friendly or promote earth friendly behavior. We try to buy local, fair trade and organic whenever possible. We make sure our products are not just environmentally ethical but socially responsible as well. Just ask us, we’ll tell you what’s in it, who made it, and where it came from.

Whether it is our Lodge cast iron cookwear, our 100% ethically sourced soy candles, or our organic cotton and bamboo sheet sets, Verde offers a variety of household products that are practical, eco-friendly and beautiful.

Creating a home that is free of toxins, leaves a minimal footprint and fills your home with please is not easy. We try to make this task a little easier for you.

From the moment we get up in the morning to the time we get into bed at night, we are exposed to hundreds of chemicals. Environmental Defense Canada notes that “before you have even made it to the breakfast table, you have probably used almost 15 personal care products, with over 100 toxic ingredients.” Whether it is your soap, shampoo, toothpaste or lipstick, we regularly are exposed to toxins that have been linked to cancer, birth defects, infertility and other health concerns.

We try to help you limit this toxic burden by offering a selection of all natural and organic bath and body products. Among our product lines you will find Rocky Mountain Soaps, Kogi Naturals, Liv Simple Farms, Crosswind Farms, 100% Pure Cosmetics, Lunapads and Diva Cups.

There is nothing like wearing clothing made from natural fibres. Our linen clothing lines include Bryn Walker, Flax and Diabolka.

We also carry organic cotton and bamboo clothing from Alchemy Designs, Yala Designs, Efforts and PACT. A new addition to our clothing selection is April Cornell.

We carry a large selection of books ranging from cook books to environmental issues.

Our cook books include cooking for vegans and vegetarians, cooking with organic, local produce and paleo diet and gluten free recipes. A growing area of interest is baking with marijuana. We offer a variety of books to assist prescription cannabis users to consumer the substance in alternative ways.
You can also find on our shelves, books about global climate change, environmental toxins, corporate social responsibility, organic farming and many other topics.

We’re an environmental general store. We carry a little bit of everything, from house and home to bath and body and clothes and books for the whole family.
